Boston Whaler Announces NEW 315 Conquest

Boston Whaler Launches Show-Stopping New 315 Conquest

Edgewater, Fla. (February 13, 2012) - With the debut of its third new Conquest model for 2012, the 315 Conquest, Boston Whaler has firmly placed itself at the cutting edge of the boatbuilding industry.

"The 315 Conquest joins a stunning class of new models, including the 285 Conquest, the 285 Conquest Pilothouse, the 210 Montauk and the 170 Dauntless, which demonstrates that the Boston Whaler team has truly pulled out all the stops," said Ron Berman, Boston Whaler's vice president of product development and engineering. "We strongly believe that we're putting out the best premium-quality and innovative boats in the marketplace. From the 315's major features, like the integrated windshield-hardtop system that optimizes visibility, down to the most subtle details, like a recessed grab handle to the side of the port lounge, the 315 is a thoroughly impressive and innovative boat."

With the brand-new 315 Conquest, which replaces the 305 Conquest in the 2012 lineup, Boston Whaler's engineers harnessed innovative designs and premium-quality materials to emphasize superior comfort, convenience and utility throughout the boat. Nowhere is this effort more apparent than in the helm area.

Overhead, the cutting-edge hardtop provides weather protection to the helm and can be outfitted with radar, a spotlight and outriggers for enhanced utility and captain convenience. Visibility has been optimized for the captain thanks to a bonded glass windshield system, which provides clear, unobstructed sight lines. The 315's all-new helm seat features superior ergonomics, incredibly durable polished cast-piece armrests, and a flip-up bolster that enables seated or standing boat operation. The captain also has a premium suite of state-of-the-art Raymarine navigation technology at his disposal from the console. Behind the captain's seat, a multipurpose starboard prep area features a cutting board, sink, cup holders and roomy storage underneath---a setup ideal for both entertaining and bait-prep purposes. The prep area is also available with an elegant solid-surface countertop and a refrigerator.

Opposite the captain's seat, a new, innovative port lounge execution satisfies customers' desires for forward- and aft-facing seating beneath the shelter of the hardtop. The versatile lounge is a natural social space, with a forward-facing bench and aft-facing seat that can be united with a flip-down table. Or, passengers can tuck away the table in the deck wing and connect the seats with a removable center cushion to create a plush full-length lounger.

"We wanted the helm area beneath the hardtop to stand out from the pack in terms of quality materials, captain and passenger comfort, and flexibility of use," Berman said. "The space offers full cover in adverse weather, but beyond that, we've incorporated thoughtful features such as the port lounge to make the area a very gracious socializing space, as well."

This flexibility extends to the 315 Conquest's spacious cockpit. A number of features enhance group outings, including a comfortable flip-out stern seat, optional port and starboard side trolling seats or bench seats, and an optional cockpit fiberglass table with synthetic teak overlay. Deployed together, the seats and table present an inviting communal arrangement; fold away the seats and store the table beneath the mechanical hatch to create generous fishfighting space. To this end, Boston Whaler has outfitted the cockpit with two large in-floor fish boxes, a 35-gallon livewell (which can also serve as a cooler), convenient under-gunnel storage, transom rod holders and toe rails with downrigger weight holders.

An innovative and space-efficient port storage compartment serves as a large tackle center and accommodates fishing gear, safety equipment or any other items you bring aboard. For boaters who want to add a custom feature, they can opt for the patent-pending concealed Summer Kitchen. This innovative design features an electric grill, solid-surface countertop and fold-out cutting board that disappears when not in use. Guests can stay comfortable on sunny days with an available manually actuated sunshade mounted to the hardtop, which provides reliable shade over the entire cockpit. Swimmers will appreciate the safety and convenience of a pull-out swim ladder, as well.

"The emphasis throughout the 315 Conquest is on maximizing the versatility of every space with desirable features and professional-grade materials," Berman said. "The pull-out prep center, whether you use it for bait or for grilling, is supported by heavy-duty slides with a positive lock to secure it in place. The optional sunshade system features a robust framework that holds up tremendously even when the wind picks up. Our solid-surface countertops add a dash of style while remaining very durable and low maintenance. We use state-of-the-art designs that stand up to the high quality and dependability people expect from Boston Whaler."

This commitment to premium quality carries on into the 315's sumptuous cabin, which features warm and inviting materials and finishes, along with a spacious layout to convey a truly luxurious level of comfort. Substantial headroom, a sizable mid-berth, and a port light over the galley contribute to an open and airy feel below deck. Storage abounds throughout the cabin, including roomy compartments beneath the dinette seating and in the mid-berth, and a spacious closet in the V-berth. A wood dinette in the V-berth serves as a centerpiece for meals and relaxation, and easily lowers and converts with filler cushions into a gracious master bed. It also folds in half to provide a more open feel in the cabin when a large table is not needed. A private VacuFlush head with stainless steel sink, Corian countertop, mirror, and pull-out shower delivers the comforts of home when out on the water.

Supporting all of the 315 Conquest's premium features, topside and below deck, is a performance-optimized new hull. Boston Whaler engineers designed the new Conquest hull to provide an incredibly soft and dry ride, impressive performance, and great handling---thanks in part to a cutting-edge patented bow thruster system. Paired with standard Mercury Verado engines that feature intuitive Digital Throttle and Shift controls, the hull empowers captains with unprecedented boat control and cruising prowess. Standard power-assist steering and a full-color Mercury VesselView display, which provides comprehensive engine diagnostics on a crisp and uncomplicated screen, further enhance the 315 Conquest owner's command at the helm.

"Conquests are built for boaters who don't want any limitations on what they can do with their boat, and who expect a certain level of refinement from their vessel," Berman said. "The 315, which will soon be available with the revolutionary pilothouse configuration that debuted on the 285 Conquest, represents the evolution of the Conquest line. Discerning boaters will be very impressed with what the 315 Conquest brings to the table."
