Edgewater, FL (September 17, 2012) - Boston Whaler was recognized by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) as a recipient of the 2012 Marine Industry Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Award for excellence in customer satisfaction and the pursuit of continuous improvement in customer service. This is the ninth consecutive year that Boston Whaler has received the award.
The award is based on NMMA's CSI program, an independent survey of more than 32,000 consumers, with an average score of at least 90 percent required to earn the recognition. Boston Whaler received the 2012 NMMA CSI Award in the Fiberglass Outboard Boats category.
"It is an honor to receive this award for the ninth year in row," says Boston Whaler President, Tim Schiek. "The NMMA CSI Award acknowledges and validates all of the great work that every Boston Whaler employee and dealer staff member puts into delivering industry leading products and services to ensure our customers are satisfied on all levels. This includes their overall experience with the elite quality of our boats, as well as their positive interactions with our dedicated employees and dealers."
The NMMA's Marine Industry CSI program recognizes marine manufacturers whose pursuit of excellence earns them overwhelming customer support. Customer satisfaction is measured independently and is based on information provided by all consumers who bought a new Boston Whaler between April 2011 and March 2012. Boston Whaler will be recognized along with other award recipients during the annual Industry Breakfast at the 2012 International BoatBuilders' Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) in Louisville, KY.
