Vancouver, BC. (Jan 16, 2014) -

Unsinkability will be the headliner at the Vancouver International Boat Show, as Boston Whaler and M&P Mercury host an unveiling ceremony for the new dual console 230 Vantage, on Wednesday, January 22.

Since its release, the popular 230 Vantage has been met with great acclaim, including an Innovation Award from the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA). “Boston Whaler is extremely honored to have received this award for our forward-thinking 230 Vantage,” said Jeff Vaughn, Boston Whaler’s vice president of sales, marketing and customer service. “We’re tremendously proud of the Vantage family and excited to offer our customers these multifaceted dual console models.”

In attendance at the show will be Boston Whaler President Huw Bower, who affirms the distinct advantage of Boston Whaler ownership on the West Coast: “M&P Mercury has long been a valued partner, delivering superior customer service and sales expertise,” Bower said. “We’re proud to count them as a premier ambassador of our brand and continue to see growth in their territory. Boston Whaler’s legendary unsinkability makes our boats well suited to Pacific Northwest conditions—we’ve seen great enthusiasm for our Conquest Pilothouse series, and are pleased to offer the Vantage as an incredibly versatile, capable and comfortable new option for boating families.”

The unveiling of the 230 Vantage will be followed by the official release of the Boston Whaler Conquest video, comprised of footage shot entirely in BC. “The rugged, breathtaking beauty of this area makes it a natural setting to capture the Conquest in action,” said Traci Davis, manager of content and event marketing. “We’re excited to finally have footage of such a spectacular location and to feature it prominently in upcoming marketing initiatives.”

The 2014 Vancouver International Boat Show runs from January 22 to 26, and both the 230 Vantage and the Boston Whaler film will be available for viewing throughout. M&P and Boston Whaler will host a special VIP event on the evening of January 23 for registered customers.
